Principles

The CEF Forum is driven by conviction that quality Education for All is achievable. The Forum believes in an increasing knowledge- based economy, that exclusion from education will translate into growing poverty, inequality and deprivation. The CEF Forum, therefore, commits itself to achieving its mission with a human face, objectively, transparency and accountability as well as to embrace democratic norms, values and processes in all its plans and actions. 

         CEF Forum believes that Education is:

a)     A universal human right;

b)     The key to poverty alleviation and sustainable human development; and

c)      A core responsibility.

Achievable, if the government commits to and mobilizes resources.

     

 Aims and Objectives 

.

1. To campaign for the actions and policies needed to ensure that every man, woman, boy and girl can realize their rights to quality, free and compulsory public education.

2. To provide a common platform and meeting point for civil society organizations to coordinate their activities on Education for All.

3. To coordinate activities undertaken by the NGO community towards Education for All.

4. To liaise with international movement with a long- term commitment to promote and monitor the fulfillment of the right to basic education.
